Soot Sprite Cup & Penguin Planter (2024)
x

Someone at the studio gave me the tip that using the electric kiln would work better with underglazes! We only have one small electric kiln so I've never tried it before, but wow, I feel like it does work a lot better with colors!!

Some of the outer glazing on my soot sprite cup go messed up, think I didn't wait long enough after I underglazed, but a really good attempt!!!

Moomin Mug (2024)
x

One of my first mugs that has ACTUALLY come out similar to what I wanted!! Really struggling with the fact that the kiln at my studio doesn't do well with a lot of underglaze.

Sadly the bottom of the handle did crack, but seems pretty secure with glaze. Pretty little mug, damn they shrink. But a perfect size for coffee for me.

Berry Bowl (2024)
x

One of my first wheel thrown things that I actually like!! This bowl shape actually turned out well, perfect little bowl for berries. Excited to use it more this summer when the Farmers market starts back up!

FIRST WHEEL THROWN VESSELS!!! (2023)
x

Some of the first things I managed to throw on the wheel!! These vessels are both pretty small, maybe 6 inches high, but I had a lot of fun experimenting with the shapes.

Had fun glazing too! The pink turned out lighter than I expected, but I love how it comboed with the pumpkin. In person, the tan-colored combination glaze between them somehow sparkles like sand. It's a pretty cool combination.

Sadly, the one I was very excited to see got broken as it was being unloaded from the kiln :( HOWEVER im a trooper and glued her back together.

COFFIN BOX & FRIEND (2023)
x

One of the first things I ever made! Knowing what I know now, I would have gone about it a totally different way, but learning is a process. I do really love this one tho.

LAIKA SHELF (2023)
x

A shelf inspired by Laika, the first dog in space.

HEART MUG (2023)
x

Heart mug I love you. One of my first times trying to use an underglaze, I really want to remake this with better colors.

Actually really easy to drink out of!!

HERBIE THE SHARK PENCIL HOLDER (2023)
x

Fun fact about this one, I actually glazed this and it c=ame out HORRIBLY. I didn't dip the clear glaze long enough and it burned away, it looked dreadful.

So i decided ot give Herbie new life with some acyrlic paint & spray glaze sealant.

STARRY HOUSE SHELF / OCEAN ALTAR (2023)
x

One of the first things that I've made in ceramics that I'm actually happy with!

A small ceramic cubby house about 1.5 hands tall, decorated on the interior with stars. Definitely shrunk a lot more than I thought it would.

Filled wiht shells that I found at the ocean recently, so now it's something of an ocean altar.

ASSORTED PIECES (2023)
x

1. Vessel decorated with an eyed heart. One of the first coil pits I made. The glaze got hella cracke don this one. Weird, but I like it.

2. Cat Head ofr tea lights. Designed so the eyes light up when there's a cnadle inside! Gotta make it taller next time tho, I think the candles could use more air.

3. Small strawberry pot. my first time using underglaze & doing a coil pot.

4. Heart Spoon rest
