Zines are any kind of small-batch self-published media, often in the form of booklets. Traditionally, zines are easily reproduced, often formatted on one single page that can be copied & folded into a small book. That being said, there are no rules with zines! You can make them any size or shape you want, and they can cover any topic.

Some zinemakers use zines to showcase their art, photography, or writing. Others use zines to pass along information about a specific subject. My advice would be to make a zine about something you're passionate about. Find an idea that speaks to you and go wild!

So, how does this all work?

The purpose of this zine swap is to encourage creativity & zinemaking with all sorts of creatives!

Once addresses have been assigned, participants have a couple of weeks to create a new zine that follows the swap theme. Once you're finished, you can ship out your shiny new zine to 3-5 people. In turn, you're going to be reciving new zines as well!

Zines will be shipped physically or digitally. During signups there will be two swap categories, one for snail mail and one for email. If you're interested in doing both, please use both sign up forms!

At the end of the swap, all zines will be shared digitally on our web page. Participants can choose to share just the covers of their zines, or the entire thing!
